I regularly teach Introductory Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods in Social Sciences, and Lifespan Development
Most of my time is spent teaching at Jefferson Community College wich I enjoy tremendously. When I research I am interested in the areas of academic performance and the self & motivation. I am currently planing reearch into how people manage transitions between multiple socail roales (parent to student, spouse to manager, etc).
In the past I have researched the following topics: self-determination theory, implicit theories, academic performance, academic dishonesty, academic identity, goal pursuits, and contingencies of self-worth. Additionally I am interested in interpersonal relationships, specifically regarding romantic relationships, jealousy, mentor relationships, and social support.
